The magnetic dance
The magnetic dance (2018) is a short art movie about attraction and repulsion.
We humans can be so intensely connected to someone; at other moments suddenly feel rejected by the same person. These inverse poles can result in attachment. By the interaction of the sounds of a violin with a chemical fluid, I was able to create a surrealistic world, without deforming it.
The material I used, Ferrofluid, has a unique property: it has the habit of returning to its original form.
The movements of the liquid are influenced by magnets.
As the magnets approach the fluid, the interaction increases. I find the resulting fluctuations in pattern formed in the fluid, correlate with the picture I have of the essence of human relations.
